Natascha Finnerty has more than 20 years' experience in on-site compliance assessments conducted in 13 countries spanning four continents.  Her expertise is in both ITAR military export regulations and in EAR commercial export regulations; and she has conducted directed audits required by the State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and has passed the Lead Assessor class in ISO 9000. 

 

She consults in all aspects of export licensing issues, including product classifications, license registrations and applications, legal agreements, and internal compliance program training for company officials and corporate management. She works within an active network of international attorneys and consultants in the fields of customs compliance, logistics and munitions exports.


Prior to establishing her own consulting practice, Ms. Finnerty was employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Export Administration (subsequently renamed as the Bureau of Industry and Security) in Washington, DC as an auditor of the Special Licensing Division and an instructor for their national training seminars.


She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts and has attended courses in the master’s program in international business, George Washington University.  She studied and worked in Europe for four years and is fluent in French and German.

 

In April of 2011, she conducted two 90 minute MK Technology Webinar presentations on munitions-related licensing issues: an ITAR Primer on April 12 and an ITAR Intermediate Workshop on April 26th.
